Bereits im Jahr 1754 wurde das Gasthaus "Lamm" von Bernhard Bauer (1723-1790) an der neuen Schweizer Straße erbaut.  

Damals hatte das Gasthaus gerade 2 Tische und 6 Stühle. Im Jahr 1763 wird das Gasthaus an den Oberchirurgus Christian Wurster zum Preis von 2280 Gulden verkauft. Bis zum Jahr 1890 betreibt dessen Familie das Gasthaus, welches in der Zeit von 1845 bis 1877 auch Poststation war. So ist das Lokal seither als "Lamm-Alte Post" bekannt.

Bis zum Jahr 1907 wechseln die Besitzer mehrmals, als Ernst Böpple den seit 1901 von ihm gepachteten Gastbetrieb erwirbt.  

Im Jahr 1910 wird für Hochzeiten und andere große Festlichkeiten der Saal angebaut. Später wird noch ein großes Nebenzimmer errichtet. Nach dem Tod von Ernst Böpple (1929) führt dessen Witwe Maria Böpple das Gasthaus samt Metzgerei bis 1961 fort und wird für viele Gäste im weiten Umkreis ein beliebtes Lokal. In der Zeit von 1961 bis 1988 wechseln sich 4 Pächter ab.  

Seit 1988 wird das Gasthaus als italienisches Restaurant von der Familie Sciandrone mit viel Liebe betrieben

The “Lamm” inn was built by Bernhard Bauer (1723-1790) on the new Swiss Road as early as 1754.
At that time, the inn had just two tables and six chairs. In 1763, the inn was sold to the chief surgeon Christian Wurster for 2,280 guilders. His family ran the inn until 1890, and from 1845 to 1877 it also served as a post office.
Since then, the restaurant has been known as the “Lamm-Alte Post.”
The owners changed several times until 1907, when Ernst Böpple purchased the restaurant, which he had been leasing since 1901. 
In 1910, a hall was added for weddings and other large celebrations. Later, a large adjoining room was built. After Ernst Böpple's death in 1929, his widow Maria Böpple continued to run the inn and butcher's shop until 1961, and it became a popular venue for many guests from far and wide. Between 1961 and 1988, there were four different tenants. 
Since 1988, the inn has been lovingly run as an Italian restaurant by the Sciandrone family.
